Jamie Alvord, 10-time USA Cycling National Champion from King of Prussia, PA, now resides in Allentown, PA with his wife, Mandy Marquardt. Jamie attended tech school from 10th grade through graduation and joined the Local Union 420 Steamfitters in 2008. Today, he is both a full-time cyclist and a full-time tradesman for the union.

Growing up, Jamie played various sports, some of his favorites were lacrosse, cross country, swimming, and crew. Jamie was born into a cycling family – he began competitive cycling in 2000 at the age of 10, riding and coaching at the velodrome with his father Jim. Both his father and mother, Kim were competitive cyclists in the 1980s at the Lehigh Valley Velodrome and throughout the USA.

After stepping away from track cycling in 2018 for two years, Jamie returned to win Elite Track Nationals in 2021 and successfully defended his 3 National Titles (Men’s Sprint, 1km Time Trial, and Team Sprint) in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, he was part of the inaugural Men's Team Sprint, earning a bronze medal at the Pan American Track Continental Championships held at the Velo Sports Center in Carson, California.

Career Highlights – Competing at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile in the Men’s Team Sprint. The team nearly missed the podium and finished 4th. At the 2024 Pan Am Track Cycling Championships, Jamie and his wife made history together by winning bronze medals in the Men’s and Women’s Team Sprint.

Fun Fact –Jamie learned to ride a two-wheeler at just 2 years old.
