Race Information/Structure for the Sprint and Keirin: Riders compete at U.S. Track Nationals annually. Riders annually individually compete at UCI Local/International events to earn points to qualify for Nation Cup (UCI Class 1 and Class 2 races offer different point standings). Riders are then selected by Team USA Cycling to compete at the annual Pan American Championships, Nation Cups and the World Championships and all individual results over 2 years are crucial to earning points as a Nation for the United States to qualify for a spot for the Olympic Games.

The United States then nominates riders for the U.S. Olympic Long Team, meaning we are all one step closer in this process and soon after the Final Team will be announced. There are no U.S. Olympic Trials. It is a long qualifying process and consistency and progression are key.
